Join us for a hands-on autumn afternoon at Sunray Community Farm exploring trees, shrubs, soil, and the ecology of the farm! Together we'll explore the farm, learn about the important roles trees and shrubs play in a healthy ecosystem, and help with some real fall projects on the farm.
During the workshop, children will:
🌳 Learn about trees, shrubs, roots, and their roles on the farm
🌱 Help plant fruit trees and shrubs that will become a lasting part of the landscape
🍂 Explore soil, compost, decomposition, and other signs of the changing season
🚶 Meet chickens and learn more about their role on the farm next season
🍎 Drink fresh apple cider
This workshop is designed to encourage curiosity, environmental stewardship, and hands-on learning.
Ages: 6–12+ (with parent or guardian)
Date: Sunday September 27th
Time: 1:00 PM–3:00 PM
Cost: $20 per child (parent or guardian included)
Capacity: Limited to 12 children.
Please bring water, weather-appropriate clothing, and closed-toe shoes or boots that can get dirty. All tools and activity materials will be provided.
