about the farm Nursery
Sunray Community Farm’s nursery grows perennial plants for edible landscapes, food forests, farms, gardens, and agroforestry systems.
We specialize in fruiting shrubs, trees, perennial crops, and multifunctional plants selected for productive and resilient landscapes. Our focus is on plants that do more—providing food, supporting pollinators and wildlife, contributing to healthy soils, and filling important roles within diverse perennial growing systems.
Our nursery includes familiar edible plants alongside species particularly well suited to food forests and agroforestry plantings, including elderberries, currants, gooseberries, aronia, serviceberries, hazelnuts, fruit trees, perennial crops, and other useful landscape plants.
We grow with both the home gardener and larger landscape in mind. Whether you're adding a few berry bushes to a backyard garden, establishing an edible hedgerow, developing a food forest, or planting a larger farm or agroforestry project, our goal is to provide healthy plants that can become part of productive landscapes for years to come.
Plants are available seasonally through Sunray Community Farm, select local retail partners, and periodic plant sales. Availability changes throughout the growing season as new plants become ready.
